Star Trek & Star Wars Fan Productions

From an early age, I’ve been a fan of both Star Trek and Star Wars. I’ve produced fan media for both franchises.

Fan Films

Star Trek: The Search for Spock’s Body Parts

In 1998, during college, long before Star Trek fan films became popular, my brother and I had a long-term loan of a VHS camcorder, which was not a common household item at the time. We used it to produce a 20-minute spoof of Star Trek, with a cast comprised of Star Trek and superhero Mego action figures. “The Search For Spock’s Body Parts” is essentially a video comic book, with sets, lighting, and special effects. You can watch the complete film below, or watch it in three parts on YouTube.

Star Wars: A Counselor Arises

For Star Wars Day (May 4) in 2021, I produced an extended Star Wars sketch with my improv comedy troupe, Sounds Sketchy. The sketch originally dropped as our season 3 premiere (Episode 17). Later, I re-cut the sketch as a “fan film” to enter it in some competitions. You can watch that version below.

Fan Audio

Star Wars: The Most Dangerous Game (A Fan Production)

In 2020, for Seriously Strange Audio Theater, I produced a mashup of Star Wars canon and the public domain movie The Most Dangerous Game. You can listen below.

Captain’s Log, Accidental

In the 1990s, I wrote, directed, and produced a Star Trek original series audio parody for Shoestring Radio Theatre. You can listen below.

Enterprise in space

As noted on my screenwriting page, I’ve expanded this parody into a 40-minute fan film script, titled Ahead Warp Factor 11.
